A small energy company were working on a large procurement project that involved significant bespoke contracting and negotiation. The sole legal counsel had no capacity to give the dedicated support that was needed to keep the project on track as well as support the business through the process.

LOD provided a lawyer on flexible retainer who worked on an hourly basis, with daily availability to partner with the business and the lead the project as in-house counsel. They took on all project-related work from the sole legal counsel to keep the work flows seamlessly. They reported back to the sole legal counsel to keep them aware of the project progress.

The client had dedicated support to ensure a smooth procurement and contracting process. They had a single point of contact who was able to offer support as and when needed whilst guiding them through the project.
