Following the announcement of the merger between LOD and AdventBalance in February, AdventBalance will today adopt the LOD name and branding.
The deal, which saw the creation of one of the world’s largest New Law businesses with market-leading positions in Asia, Australia and Europe is still the first cross-continent merger of its type.
Today’s announcement is a natural progression for both companies who have doubled the size of the business and now work across eight offices (London, New York, Hong Kong, Sydney, Singapore, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth), with over 650 lawyers and a world-class, international client base comprising over 500 companies and firms.
Both firms have already seen a positive client adoption of the combined offering and increased coverage and clients are now working with multiple offices in the group.
Commenting on the final part of this merger, Tom Hartley, CEO, said, “we couldn’t have hoped for a better outcome through the first seven months of our merger. The fit was always a good one and we pretty much started to work as one business almost immediately. Adopting the LOD brand globally seems like the right thing to do at this point.”
