International law firm seconding to a major retail chain
A law firm client anticipated that one of its key clients would want to extend the secondment of an associate. The firm needed the associate to come back to their team; workload was on the increase and there was no budget to recruit further permanent headcount.
We sent LOD lawyer, Andrew, to work at the law firm for a month to really get under the skin of the client relationship and start to work on the client’s matters. There was then a handover period with the seconded associate, who came back to the firm and Andrew replaced him.
The key client really appreciated the law firm’s creative approach and the law firm’s team was better positioned to deal with its own pipeline workload when the associate returned. The LOD lawyer felt fully supported by the firm throughout a very successful six-month assignment.
